Privacy Policy
Last updated: 31 August 2026
The short version. We collect your phone number, what you tell us about your symptoms, your daily diary, and any old medical reports you choose to upload. Reports are encrypted and visible only to you and your doctor. We do not sell your data, we do not use your reports to train anything, and you can have all of it deleted by asking.
1. Who is responsible for your data
Gutwat is a brand owned and operated by RR Solutions, 150, VPO Luhana, Rewari, Haryana – 123411. If you have a question about your data, write to gutwat@gmail.com.
2. What we collect
Because you give it to us
- Your mobile number — this is how you sign in. We do not ask for a password.
- Your name, age band and city, if you enter them.
- What is troubling you — the symptom check, the intake questions, and anything you write in your own words.
- Your daily diary — bloating, stool, food, sleep, stress.
- Old medical reports that you choose to photograph or upload.
- Your delivery address, for sending medicines.
Because the app records it
- What you did in the app — which sessions you finished, which plan items you ticked. Your doctor uses this to see whether the plan is being followed.
- Anonymous counts — how many people opened the app, entered a number, or finished signing up. These are counted against a random identifier generated on the device. They carry no name and no phone number.
What we never collect
We do not ask for and do not store your card number, UPI ID, CVV or bank details. Payment is handled entirely by Razorpay on their own screens. We are told only whether a payment succeeded and for how much.
3. Why we use it
- To build your daily plan, food list and practice.
- To let your doctor read your case and change the plan while it runs.
- To deliver medicines to your address.
- To send you reminders and your reports on WhatsApp, if you have opted in.
- To count how many people get stuck at each step of signing up, so we can fix it.
4. Your medical reports, specifically
Uploaded reports are encrypted at rest. They are not served from a public folder and are not included in any analytics or crash report. They are readable by you and by the Ayurvedic doctor assigned to you, and by nobody else.
An AI is used to read a report and explain it in plain language. It is given the contents of the report and your diary — it is not given your name, phone number or email. If the AI is not confident, or the report contains anything that looks urgent, nothing is shown to you until the doctor has read it herself.
5. Who else sees your data
| Who | What they get | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Razorpay | Amount, currency, your name and phone for the receipt | To take the payment |
| SMS provider | Your phone number and the OTP | To sign you in |
| WhatsApp Business API | Your phone number and the message | Reminders and reports, only if you opted in |
| Courier | Your name, address and phone | To deliver your parcel |
| Meta (Facebook) | Amount, currency, an event id, and your phone number hashed so it cannot be read back | To measure whether an advertisement worked |
| AI provider | Report text and diary entries, with no name, phone or email | To explain reports in plain language |
Meta is never told which plan you bought, what your symptoms are, or anything from your reports. We do not sell your data to anybody, and we do not share it for anyone else's advertising.
6. How long we keep it
Your account and its medical history are kept while your account exists, because your own history is what makes the next plan better. Order and payment records are kept for 8 years, as Indian tax law requires. Anonymous sign-up counts are kept for 24 months.
7. What you can ask for
- A copy of everything we hold about you.
- A correction if something is wrong.
- Deletion of your account and your reports. Payment records that tax law requires us to keep will remain, with the medical content removed.
- To stop WhatsApp messages at any time, from the app or by replying STOP.
Write to gutwat@gmail.com. We reply within 30 days.
8. Children
Gutwat is not for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly create accounts for children. If you believe a child has an account, tell us and we will remove it.
9. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top, and if the change is significant we will tell you in the app before it takes effect.
